Here is s-space's video adaption of “Small People: The Cemetery Keeper”

Small People: The Cemetery Keeper

Purpose: Steve portrays the theme of a man's life that was made fun of because of his physical appearance but was able to live a decent and colorful life and maintained a steely resolve to find himself a respectable slot in the social structure of the community.

Plot: The "Small People: The Cemetery Keeper" is about a man who became the butt of jokes and invented funny tales for having a pockmarked face but was able to succeed in altering his humiliating moniker and lived his life showing kindness and his true spiritual self. 

 

Setting: The story happened in Danao City in the province of Cebu and at a Catholic cemetery that Steve keeps in check together with his family. 
 

Characters: The main character of the story is Esteban also known as Steve who had a pockmarked face because of having smallpox during his teens. He lived his life being humiliated but he was undaunted by the playful taunts and jokes on his pockmarks and learned a hilarious way to get back at his tormentors.

Point of View: The story is told in a first-person perspective allowing the audience to get an insight into the character's mind and relate with that character's ideas and feelings.

​

The "Small People: The Cemetery Keeper" is telling us that we should not judge and make fun of people because of their physical attributes and we should find a way to change and alter the course of our life and try our best to bring out the positive in a place full of negatives.
